Shaping the Future – PVC Australia 2018
The two-day PVC Conference organised by the Vinyl Council of Australia brought together the Australian PVC value creation chain in Sydney from 13 to 15 March 2018. This event was supported by Exelliq, Krauss-Maffei and Plasmec.
Technological advances in processing, in machinery and in design were presented by Gerhard Hoffman (Exelliq Austria GmbH), Dario Soncin (Plasmec) and Christian Birzer (Krauss Maffei).
This event presented an overview of the expanded market opportunities for PVC windows, the latest developments in PVC compounding as well as machinery and processing technologies to prepare Australian and New Zealand plastics manufacturers for future challenges. To complete the comprehensive programme, leading commentators discussed the economic, financial and construction market outlook.
More than 120 interested visitors were able to obtain an overview in the foyer at small exhibition stands, where Wolfgang Haberleitner was able to network and make a number of new contacts.
Chief Executive Sophie MacMillan of Vinyl Council said, “Our second conference, PVC AUS 2018: Shaping the Future, offers members of the council and their stakeholders a unique opportunity to learn about industry trends and developments for the production, use and re-use of PVC. It is the only event that will shape the future of the vinyl industry in the region.”
