The top experts of the Exelliq Group are currently training 27 apprentices
Exelliq Group is the world’s leading supplier of extrusion lines, tooling and turnkey plants for plastic profile extrusion and is headquartered in Nußbach, Kremstal. Long-term employees guarantee the technology company’s success and are passing on their know-how to the younger generation.
As is the case for most technology-oriented, expanding companies, today’s challenge lies in covering the need for specialists for the future. To grow the next generation of experts on time, Exelliq Group prioritises apprenticeships and special training programmes for technicians. A total of 27 young employees are currently in training at the Exelliq Group, including in IT and mechatronics. In 2017, 11 new apprentices started at the Exelliq Group’s locations in Nußbach in apprenticeships for metal engineering toolmaking, construction toolmaking, and office management. Four out of five girls are trained in technical professions. A refugee from Afghanistan is also currently completing the two-year “Teilqualifikation Metall” (Partial qualification in metal) training course at our company.
A career in technology at the Exelliq Group
The core competence of the Exelliq Group is its process expertise in profile extrusion. That includes development, design, manufacture and process optimisation of toolings and extrusion lines and even the construction of extrusion plants. At a total of 11 locations in Europe, the US and Asia, all-in-one solutions are provided for any requirements profile manufacturers around the globe should have.
“We are proud of our long-time experts in the field of toolmaking and extrusion engineering. Hardly any company can build on such a high degree of continuity among its experts, which is one of the key success factors of our company. We offer our young employees first-class training, an innovative environment, an excellent working atmosphere, individual growth opportunities, and numerous voluntary benefits. We are especially pleased that more and more girls are choosing us for a technical career”, says Gerhard Ohler, CEO of the Exelliq Group.
At the Exelliq Group, technicians are offered a versatile field of work and interesting perspectives. After completing a basic technical training course, a two-year training course to become an “Extrusion process technician” can be started. This opens up a wide range of possibilities, e.g. for international assignments or longer-term stays abroad. Individual programmes for professional and personal development are always fixed components of career planning.
For the start of training in 2018, the extrusion experts are again looking for committed, young people, especially for the technical professions.
